Props: For my music video, I won't be using an abundance of props. I will be using a few that help get the point across. Such as a guitar, ruler, chair, and newspaper. Costume: In my music video, I will have one main actor who will be playing Luke Combs. Whoever this ends up being, will wear boots, jeans, a hat, and a t-shirt. They other people who will play a part are the mom and a dad in the song, who will be dressing in normal everyday clothing. The other actor that plays the friend(s) will also wear just regular clothing.   Schedule: On 11/14/20, I will establish the music video conventions and how I will go about my video On 11/17/20. I will establish the props, costumes, schedule, location list, and back up plan.  On 11/20/20, I will create the storyboard for my 1 minute long music video. On 11/25/20, I will film and record the necessary shots for my video. On 12/02/20, I will edit and add the final touches to my music video. Location List: My main location will be...

Research Blog: Music Video

My Music Video is going to be for the song Six Feet Apart by Luke Combs. This is a country song that directly addresses the ongoing Coronavirus crisis and the social distancing aspect to life currently. In most country music videos, the singer is usually the main feature of the video. Most stereotypes lead to these music videos to involve trucks, boots, beer, and country scenery. Most videos are filmed in and outdoor environment with people playing around or dancing outside. Montages are often used as fillers for parts of the song when there are no lyrics or a clear message of what should be going on. Some camera shots in Country videos include medium shots, long shots, and close-ups.  Long shots could be a scan across a field as a truck is driving by. Medium shots could include someone sitting by a fire playing a guitar. Close-ups could be the singer with a microphone as they sing. The Mise en Scene is these videos is usually a natural ambient with very bright colors. The pe...

I will be working by myself for my Music video. I am working by myself because it is easier for me to complete the project without having to worry about meeting up with other people. It will be easier to bring it all together for me and edit and overall make the video. I also think because of Corona, everyone is restricted on contact and availability. Filming will also be easier because I can direct it all by myself. I also can also use some of my friends and family as actors in the video. This will give me the ability to film multiple scenes with different people and tones. The name of the song I'm choosing is Six Feet Apart by Luke Combs. It is a country song with the story of the difficulties of the pandemic. I chose this genre of music because it is my favorite and I listen to it more than anything else. I also think country music videos are super cool and hopefully I can make a cool one as well. I chose this particular song because I like Luke Combs and the song. Luke ...

Commercial

Editing Blog

After Filming all of my videos, it was time to put them together, I started by figuring out the order that I wanted to put them in. I had to make sure that they all lined up good and made sense. I then had to cut the videos and time them to make sure it didn't go over 30 seconds. I cut them down until they fit in the time slot while still looking good. I then found music to overlay in the background throughout the commercial. I found the perfect sound that really made the whole mood for the commercial. I then made sure to edit out parts from the original audios that I didn't want in my video. Finally I added titles and slogans to the commercial and it was complete.

On Sunday November 1 st , I filmed my blog. I started by collecting most of the YETI products that I own. I brought together 4 32oz tumblers, 3 24oz tumblers, two coozies/cups, and a waterproof duffel bag. I then had to convince my brother and my parents to be my Guinea pigs. I started by capturing a video of all the cups together on my dock as the sun was setting. Then I got my chickens to interact with the cups by putting blueberries on the lids of them. They all went for them and it created a good scene. Then I took one of the bigger tumblers and I put peanut butter on the id and gave it to my dog. He then became the starting scene. I tried many times to get my chickens to stand still on the bag but they kept hoping off of it, so that's when I got my brother. I had him put on the bag and he wouldn't do anything besides walk in a straight line which was very lame of him. I also used my parents multiple times by asking them to cheers and pretend as if they were drinking, whi...
