Genre Research: Action

Image
The genre of my opening sequence is a action/mystery film. I chose this because I could see myself making a cool film based off of this genre. I think my storyline for this genre is very good and fits perfectly with the events. I decided to make an action film because I believe its easier for the audience to catch on with the film and become invested. I personally really like watching action films so this is exciting for me. On top of my opening film being a action film, it also falls under the mystery genre. Because there is going to be a robbery and investigation, it makes the film more interesting and suspenseful. Action films also have such a wide variety of directions that the film could go in. There are some action films where people are jumping off buildings and riding off into the ocean on a jet ski, and there are some where there is a mafia trying to hunt down someone. Overall I chose to create an action film because I am interested in them and it seems like its going to ...

My Pitch

Image
My main pitch is a crime/action film about the robbery of a prized watch. In this film, there will be a robber who stalks the rich celebrity. The robber sneaks into his car and steals the watch when the man goes inside his house. This then becomes the search for the robber and the prized watch. Another pitch is a comedy film about siblings who messed up their dad and step-moms wedding. They let loose animals and enemies during the ceremony and it becomes a very funny movie. I am mainly interested in creating the first pitch which is about the watch robber. I think this would be a great action film and I have great ideas and plans in creating it. The second pitch about the wedding seems like a good idea too but I believe I could create a better intro for the first pitch. I like action films so it would be fun filming it and coming up with the story line. I also have all of the necessary props and setting for the watch robber so that alone makes it a cheaper and more accessible plan. For...

Starting the final Task

My name is Ivy Heath and I am in 10th grade. I'm an avid boater and enjoy anything out on the water. Some of my favorite things to do include fishing, lobstering, and mudding. I love listening to music. My favorite genre is country because its just the best. But I do mix it up with some rap and reggae. I am apart of the lacrosse team at my school along with blue roses which is my travel team. I am in Boy scouts and Girl scouts. Because of these two organizations I go camping all the time ad love the outdoors. I'm a super chill person and get along with almost everyone. I love hanging out with my friends at the pier and and out on the boat. My favorite subject in school is AICE PE because I like learning about sports. One day I hope to either become a pipe line welder or work on fishing charter boats. I also like taking care of my pet chickens because they are fun to play with. The main reason I'm taking this class is to earn a credit towards my Cambridge diploma. Anothe...

Name: __Ivy Heath______________________   Creative Critical Reflection 1.       How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?   My music video is much different than what I had originally planned and stated in my conventions. I created a whole different vibe and a less “yeehaw” typical country music video. I made it simple and just a smooth and calm vibe. I also did not have tons of for say “country” themed items in my video. It was more just a run-down version of one with more things focused on the message on the song and not simply the genre stereotypes. I did follow what I put in my plan somewhat. I included the flowers and sunrise, which helped create that rundown down which I was aiming towards. I got a very pretty clip of the sunset off my dock and it fit the vibe that I was going for perfectly. The rest of my video I used videos of my family and pets. I took a video of my d...

Music Video

Image
Above is my finished music video on the song Six Feet Apart by Luke Combs. It took me a total of three days to complete the filming and editing process of my Music Video. Thankfully my brother and dad were around the house and able to help me film my video. They were a big help and I got some good videos of them for my video. I also used my pets for certain parts of my video. I took videos of my chickens along with my dog. I tried getting some of my cat but, she didn't do anything and just went to sleep. For a few parts of my video I used old pictures taken before the virus and used them in my video. I used these pictures to help symbolize the parts of the song where it talks about missing how it used to be. I also found some pictures online and ones I had personally taken to represent the pandemic currently going on. For example, when he sings "But the news has all been bad,  And the whole world seems so sad", I included pictures of news heading that have to do with th...

Final editing

Image
Since the last blog, I have gotten tons of work done. I have filmed every single one of my clips for my music video. I have completed the majority of my editing, and am planning on finishing it tomorrow afternoon. I have tried with such a tight window of time to get enough clips to put together and I believe that I have done that. Im still working on my editing to make sure my video flows but, all of the clips at the moment fit together and fit with the song. In order to get the filming accomplished I had to film some at night because I didn't have enough time during the daytime. I had my brother and dad help me with the acting part of the film. It took lots of toys because my brother won't being very cooperative. He keep running away and saying I had to pay him in order to film him. I finally got him to help me and it ended up working out. I am going to finish editing by mending the clips together. I also have to match the song up with the audio. Once i've done that I wil...

Main Filming and Editing

Image
As of today, I have started filming multiple clips for my music video. I got most of the clips for my introduction of the video. I have to add a few more parts to the first half but for the most part I have it finished.  I started by filming the sunrise over my dock and through my yard. This gave a very nature like vibe and fit perfectly with the song. I then recorded some clips with my parents and brother. I got some clips of them hugging and other of them just casually interacting. My brother wasn't super cooperative but I finally got him to accept the fate and just do it. I was only able to get a few clips though because my parents were busy. I am hoping in the next couple of days I am able to get a few more with them and my brother. I need to also find some news paper articles either online or on paper to record, to use for a part of the song. I have some more ideas besides what I have previously stated that I might create and use in my videos but, I am not sure yet becau...
